The LED Banner effect turns the screen into a scrolling text sign. Use it for a welcome line, sponsor message, classroom instruction, event alert, or any short announcement that needs to stay readable from across a room.
Before you start
- Write a short message first. The banner accepts free text, but long sentences take longer to cross the screen and are harder to read at a distance.
- Use a display people can face. A laptop, monitor, tablet, or TV with a browser works; place it where the whole screen is visible.
- Pick high-contrast colors. Bright text on a dark background is easiest to read. If you use Rainbow Background, test the full color cycle before relying on it.
- Do not rely on saved settings. Banner controls reset on reload. Keep important message wording somewhere else if you need to rebuild it later.
Build your banner
- Open the LED Banner effect.
- In Quick Presets, use Choose Preset if one is close to what you need, or leave it unchanged and build your own.
- Open Text and enter your message in Banner Text.
- Set Font Size and Font Family so the message is readable from the viewing distance.
- Open Colors and choose Text Color, Background Color, and Text Glow.
- Open Motion and set Speed, Direction, and Blinking Effect.
- Open LED and decide whether to show LED Overlay, then tune LED Type, LED Scale, and LED Opacity if the overlay is on.
- Select Go Fullscreen. Move the mouse away; the fullscreen controls fade after five seconds.
You'll know it worked when your text scrolls continuously across the screen in the selected direction and remains readable for the whole pass.
What each control does

LED Banner has no Brightness or Color Temperature controls. How bright it looks comes from your text color, glow, and background choice, along with your screen's own brightness.
Common setups
- Lobby welcome message. Banner Text
WELCOME, Font Size 100–130, Direction Left, Speed 25–40, Text Color white or cyan, Background Color black, Text Glow 80–130. - Event sponsor crawl. Keep Font Size 60–90, Speed 20–35, LED Overlay on, LED Opacity 10–25. Use a steady Background Color so names stay readable.
- Classroom instruction. Use a short phrase like
READ CHAPTER 4, Font Size 90–120, Speed 15–30, Blinking Effect off. Choose high contrast over visual effects. - Urgent notice. Choose the Emergency preset or use red text on yellow or black, Speed 35–60, Blinking Effect on. Test from the back of the room before displaying it.
Troubleshooting
The message is too hard to read. The text is moving too fast, too small, or too low contrast. Lower Speed, raise Font Size, and use a brighter Text Color against a darker Background Color. If the glow blurs the letters, lower Text Glow.
The dots are covering the words. LED Opacity or LED Scale is too heavy for the size of your text. Lower LED Opacity first. If the dots still get in the way, turn LED Overlay off completely for a clean, readable sign.
The background ignores my selected color. Rainbow Background is enabled. Turn it off to return to the selected Background Color.
Only part of the message is visible at a time. That is expected for scrolling text, but the message may be too long or too large for the display. Shorten Banner Text, lower Font Size, or slow Speed so viewers have time to read the full pass.
The controls disappeared in fullscreen. Fullscreen controls fade after five seconds without mouse movement. Move the mouse to bring back Exit Fullscreen, settings, and logo controls if a logo is set. Press Escape to leave fullscreen.
The banner looks dim in a bright room. The effect does not have a separate brightness slider. Raise your device's screen brightness, choose a lighter Text Color, increase Text Glow, or use a darker Background Color so the text stands out.
